Along the banks of the Montague River, stands a historic home that was built 130 years ago. The double tenant home was purchased by the Docherty family in the mid 1950's, where they resided for over forty years. The Main Street home was very well known for the popular ice cream parlour located at the North side of the home.

The final restoration transformed the family home into a quaint Restaurant in 1995 and has been a hit ever since! Today the restaurant is owned and operated by Lillian Dingwell. Much of the home's history remains intact, such as the door moulding and the beautiful Maple trees that stand tall through our deck.
